Gaitana Wants to be Loved 
On April 30, 2009 shooting commenced on Gaitana’s new music video for the song “Luybi Menya” (Love Me) and the atmosphere was electric. The new video is truly impressive, showcasing Gaitana in brand new ways never before seen by the public.
“This time I’ll show my undiscovered emotions. I’m like a catwoman that is overfilled with jealousy,” said Gaitana. “My new look shows how women can be like chameleons… and all for love,” she said. “This director really understands what I am going after and what my audience wants.”
In the video Gaitana appears as madly passionate woman that knows how to attract the opposite sex, so much so that her talents have gotten her into a love triangle. After the Director revealed her ideas for the shoot, two well-known show business insiders joined the cast. Their names were kept secret until the very last minute…
They were Edward Klim (Founder of LAVINA MUSIC) and special guest star codenamed ‘CHP’.
“The song’s music and lyrics called for a low male voice. Hence why I came and participated,” laughed Edward Klim. “I gave it a shot and it was successful! I am absolutely open to such experiments in the future if it makes sense musically and if the audience isn’t too distracted by my singing!” he joked.
Eventually ‘CHP’ showed up for the shoot too. Who is ‘ChP’? The revelation is as unexpected as the new video itself!
Project ‘CHP’ was previously known as singer Petya Chernyi. He too has been reinvented.
The video marks the fourth time Director Katya Tsarik will be collaborating with Gaitana. Their previous works were the videos for “Kapli Dozhdya” (Drops of Rain), “Dyvne Kokhannya” (Wonderful Love), and “Tainye Zhelaniya” (Secret Desires).
Tsarik says: “In the video we portray the inner world of a man, a world that consists of strange and complicated emotions. It is these that our main character – the woman – tries to understand. Only she knows how to win the heart and feeling of her beloved.”
The shoot took almost 24 hours, with Gaitana working clear through the night and into the morning to finish it. Assisting her along the way were stylist Nataliya Kamenska and makeup artist Katerina Bullakh.
